No context given, no bias presented. Just vote “stay” or “go.” *confetti sparkles* pluublublublublu... (that’s the sound of confetti sparkles falling to the ground, amplified obviously).

Stay 6 months, short enough that you can be out quickly plus a pretty good low rent price relative to the other times.

Go and buy a house. Renting is just throwing money away.

In most places you can get a hell of a lot of house if you have an extra $1000 floating around.

Kinda need context. I’ve never even seen anywhere giving that many term options. The MTM amount won’t get you anything close to a bedroom where I live (SF) so I can’t relate to some of the other answers...

Need location context too. Where I live those would be the rental rates from like 15 years ago. Median home price here is something like $515,000.

GO
If you must, 6 months. But I say go by the end of that. At those rental prices you should be able to buy for same or less. Unless your job moves around and requires rentals over purchases.
I previously bought at height of market, then at a low. Got a crap deal on first house, great deal on second.

Depends on where you are and how big/nice the place is. If you’re in SoCal, you’re probably getting a great deal. (Given the price I doubt it’s SoCal.) If you’re in southwest Missouri and it’s a crappy one bedroom, you’re getting ripped off and need to move. With all that said - if you can afford to buy rather than rent, you would be far better off in the long run.
